McDonald’s in France and Implications for Consumers

McDonald’s’ second largest market is in France.

Many of you may have heard this, but let me sketch out the implications for consumers.

McDonald’s serves grass-feed beef in France. They have baguettes. They have croissants.

Capitalism has its problems, but we as consumers allow McDonald’s to blast our taste buds the way that they do.

McDonald’s had to do all these things in France because the French don’t tolerate crap when it comes to food.

Everything from consumer surveys to calls to these companies can be ways we can get them to improve the quality of the food, the taste, the ecological sustainability.

There’s a lot of people, myself included, who find ourselves forced to eat at McDonald’s because of convenience or cost. But whenever possible, we need to make sure these companies know that we want better.
